Amilla partners with the Atoll Marine Centre, a local NGO with a resident marine biologist based on the island. Guests can take part in coral restoration, fixing naturally broken fragments onto metal frames that grow into new colonies. The centre also runs turtle nesting monitoring, population studies and rescue and rehabilitation, and the resort works with Maldives Resilient Reefs on sustainable reef fishing.
