Kihavah House Reef

The house reef wraps the whole island and is entered directly from the beach, which is unusual in the Maldives and is the single feature reviewers cite most. Sources report over 300 fish species and more than 130 coral species, with turtles, reef sharks and eagle rays seen routinely, and a soft coral drop-off known as the Yellow Wall descending to around 25 metres. Three coral nurseries planted after the 2016 bleaching event are visible on the reef.
