An on-island research base staffed by full-time marine biologists and scientific divers, and the engine of the resort's conservation work. It runs Reefscapers coral propagation, where guests sponsor a coral frame and follow its growth online, a sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation programme, manta photo-identification with the Manta Trust, and a fish lab breeding ornamental species as an alternative income for local communities. Guests can also sign up as trainee marine biologists.
