JOALI BEING occupies the private island of Bodufushi in Raa Atoll, ringed by white sand and a shallow turquoise lagoon. Roughly three quarters of the shoreline is walkable, and the calm lagoon is what makes the kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing on offer possible. Sandbanks in the surrounding lagoon are used for private dining and picnic set-ups.
