A resident marine biologist oversees a coral restoration programme on the house reef, run in partnership with a reef restoration project, and guests can join reef explorations to see the work first-hand. The island also hosts a turtle conservation sanctuary, one of a small number in the Maldives. Children meet the biologist as part of the B'Kidult programme.
