The resort keeps a resident marine biologist - Dr Giulia Pellizzato during the Raffles years - who runs presentations, reef-monitoring work and coral projects that guests can join. She also trains the Marine Butlers, so that every guided snorkel doubles as a briefing on the reef and the pressures it faces. A junior version of the programme runs at the kids club.
