The house reef fringes the island and is reached straight from the beach, shallow enough for first-time snorkellers yet rich enough to hold eagle rays, reef sharks and turtles. It bottoms out around 12 metres, which also makes it divable from the shore. Baa Atoll as a whole counts roughly 1,200 reef species.
