Guests can take part in the coral work run out of the AquaTerra centre, which operates the Maldives' first coral spawning and rearing laboratory with 28 micro-fragmenting tanks. Around 150,000 corals a year are propagated using mineral accretion technology. Teenagers at The Den are offered coral reef restoration sessions as part of the resort's Conscious Experiences.
