Hanifaru Bay, the UNESCO-protected marine area of Baa Atoll, is the resort's headline experience: at peak season more than a hundred manta rays gather there to feed in the spiralling formation known as cyclone feeding. The resort runs guided snorkelling expeditions led by its marine team, and whale sharks and turtles are also encountered in the atoll.
