SHELL is the resort's marine education centre and the physical home of the Maldives Underwater Initiative. It combines a central exhibition space, a marine laboratory, a cinema room and a kids' zone, with a high-resolution LED display floor and five educational viewing booths. Resident marine biologists work there and run talks and workshops for guests.
