Fishing

Three fishing formats are offered. Game fishing goes offshore from the Marine Sports Centre boat for yellowfin tuna, sailfish, wahoo, mahi-mahi and giant trevally. Light tackle and fly fishing works the flats and lagoons about 30 minutes out for bonefish, triggerfish and giant trevally, from a Hewes Redfisher 18. Reef bottom fishing at sunset is the traditional Maldivian version, and the catch can be cooked the next day at Madi or Tai.
