Soneva Fushi's observatory is a permanent domed structure housing what Soneva describes as one of the biggest telescopes in the Maldives, fitted with a Meade telescope and Lederman Optical Array 3D optics. It is staffed by resident astronomers and is the physical base for the resort's astronomy programme. Third-party coverage describes NASA-grade Ritchey-Chretien optics under an automated dome.
