Diving is run by the PADI five-star Best Dives centre, with the full course ladder from Bubblemaker and Discover Scuba through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and specialities including Enriched Air and coral reef conservation. South Malé Atoll gives access to channels and thilas such as Kandooma Thila, a manta cleaning station also frequented by grey reef sharks and eagle rays, and to Guraidhoo marine protected area. Six wrecks sit within reach, including the Bolifushi wreck.
